Contract Logix pricing at a glance
Contract Logix has no price list on its website, and its pricing page sends you to a demo request. The company was acquired by LegalSifter in October 2024 and now sells the CLM alongside LegalSifter's AI review products, so the packaging of AI features is worth asking about directly. Here is what can be confirmed.
| Question | Answer | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Is there a public price list? | No, quote after a demo | Contract Logix website |
| What is the price based on? | Users by subscription type, contract volume, features, implementation | Contract Logix pricing model page, ITQlick |
| User types | Full, Read-Only and Submitter | Contract Logix pricing model page |
| Last public list price, Express | $9,500 a year for 5 users, then $59 per user a month | G2, older listing |
| Last public list price, Premium | $19,500 a year for 5 users, then $89 per user a month | G2, older listing |
| Free trial | Listed as available | Capterra, ITQlick |
| Free plan | No | Capterra |
| Owner | LegalSifter, since October 2024 | LegalSifter announcement |
You will also see "$19 per user per month" on a few aggregator sites. We could not find that figure on any Contract Logix page, and it does not match the older edition pricing, so we would not budget on it.
What the three Contract Logix user types mean for your bill
Contract Logix's pricing model rests on three seat types, and getting the mix right is the biggest lever you have on the quote.
- Full users create and edit contracts, run workflows and change data. Contract managers, administrators and in-house lawyers need these. They are the most expensive seat.
- Read-Only users search, open and report on contracts but cannot change them. Department heads and executives who check dashboards fit here, and Contract Logix itself says this tier cuts licensing fees.
- Submitter users get a simplified screen to upload an existing contract or request a new one through a form. A marketing manager sending in a vendor agreement or a buyer forwarding third-party paper is the typical case.
A 200-person company might need 3 Full users in legal and finance, 10 Read-Only users for department heads and 40 Submitters across the business. Ask for the price of each seat type separately, and ask whether Submitter seats are counted per named person or per active user, because that decides whether casual users quietly inflate the renewal.
Contract Logix cost by team size
Because current prices are quoted, the table uses the last public list prices as a starting point and compares them with plans that publish their price. Expect a current Contract Logix quote to differ, and to add implementation.
| Team | Contract Logix Express, older list price | Contract Logix Premium, older list price | AgreementSoftware, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 users | $9,500 a year (5-user minimum) | $19,500 a year (5-user minimum) | $288 a year on Starter |
| 5 users | $9,500 a year | $19,500 a year | $648 a year on Starter with 2 extra seats |
| 10 users | about $13,040 a year | about $24,840 a year | $888 a year on Plus |
| 20 users | about $20,120 a year | about $35,520 a year | $2,688 a year on Plus with 10 extra seats |
The gap is widest for small teams. A five-user minimum at the old Express price is about $1,900 per person per year before any implementation work. For a team of three to ten whose main job is storing signed contracts and catching renewal dates, that is hard to justify.
Costs to ask about before you sign
Contract Logix quotes are built from several parts, and the subscription is only one of them. Before you compare numbers, get these answered in writing.
- Implementation and configuration. Contract Logix lists setup, configuration and training as factors in price. Ask for a fixed fee and a timeline, and what is included if your workflows change after go-live.
- Data migration. Moving an archive of signed PDFs with their key dates filled in is real work. Ask whether it is included, priced per contract, or left to you.
- AI features. Since the LegalSifter acquisition, AI review and extraction may be packaged with the CLM or sold as an add-on. Ask which one applies to your quote.
- Integrations. Capterra lists DocuSign, Salesforce, Okta and Microsoft Entra ID among its integrations. Ask whether each connector is in the base price, and whether you need your own DocuSign licenses for e-signature.
- Renewal uplift. Multi-year CLM contracts often carry a yearly price increase. Ask for a cap, and put the renewal notice date on your own calendar the day you sign.
Contract Logix alternatives with published pricing
If the quote comes back higher than your budget, these are the options buyers usually compare. Prices are from vendor pages or recent third-party reviews; check before you buy.
| Product | Entry price | Pricing model | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contract Logix | Quote, older list price $9,500 a year for 5 users | Per user, by user type | Mid-size and large organizations that want configurable workflows and many low-cost Submitter seats |
| ContractSafe | About $450 a month | Active contract volume, unlimited users | Teams that want unlimited users and a simple repository |
| Concord | $499 a month billed yearly, 5 users included | Flat plan plus extra users | Teams that draft and sign many contracts |
| Docusign CLM | Quote, commonly $20,000 a year or more | Negotiated annual contract | Companies already standardized on Docusign |
| AgreementSoftware | $49 a month, or $288 a year billed yearly | Published plans by seats and contracts | Teams without legal ops who need every renewal and notice date covered |

When Contract Logix is the better choice
Contract Logix has been building CLM software for close to two decades, and it has strengths a small published-price tool does not try to match. It makes sense when you have a contracts manager running configurable approval workflows across departments, many occasional users who only submit requests, compliance-heavy work in sectors such as healthcare or government contracting, and a budget for a proper implementation. The Submitter seat in particular is a sensible design for companies where contracts start in many departments. If procurement is where most of your agreements begin, pair the CLM with a dedicated procurement platform for intake and purchase orders rather than forcing purchasing into the contract tool.
If your situation is simpler, the trade-off flips. Most companies with 20 to 500 people sign on the other party's paper, have one or two people who own contracts, and lose money mainly through missed renewal and notice dates. For them, a tool that reads the dates from each signed PDF and reminds a named owner 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before the deadline covers the risk at a small fraction of the cost. That is what basic contract management software is for, and it is how AgreementSoftware works. Services firms that run many statements of work under one MSA can see the same approach applied on our master service agreement management software page.
How much does Contract Logix cost?
Contract Logix does not publish prices and quotes each customer after a demo. The last public list prices started at $9,500 a year for 5 users on Express and $19,500 a year for 5 users on Premium, with extra users at $59 or $89 a month. Current quotes vary with user types, contract volume, modules and implementation.
Does Contract Logix have a free trial?
Contract Logix is listed with a free trial on Capterra and ITQlick, arranged through its sales team. There is no free plan. Ask for the trial to include your own contracts so you can test extraction and reminders on real documents.
What are the Contract Logix user types?
Contract Logix sells three subscription types. Full users create and edit contracts and run workflows, Read-Only users search and report without editing, and Submitter users upload contracts or request new ones through a simplified form. The mix of seat types drives most of the price.
Who owns Contract Logix?
LegalSifter acquired Contract Logix in October 2024. Contract Logix was based in Lowell, Massachusetts, and had been selling contract management software for about 18 years at the time. The CLM is now sold alongside LegalSifter's AI contract review products.
What is a cheaper alternative to Contract Logix?
Cheaper alternatives with published pricing include AgreementSoftware from $49 a month, ContractSafe from about $450 a month and Concord from $499 a month. If your main need is storing signed contracts and getting reminders before renewal and notice deadlines, the lowest-priced option usually covers it.
