ContractSafe pricing at a glance
ContractSafe prices by the number of active contracts you manage, not by seat. Its own pricing page lists seven volume bands (100 or fewer, 100 to 500, 501 to 1,000, 1,001 to 2,500, 2,501 to 5,000, 5,001 to 10,000, and 10,000 plus) and reveals the price once you choose one. The figures below come from third-party breakdowns published in 2026 and match what ContractSafe itself describes. Confirm the number for your band before you budget.
| ContractSafe plan | 100 or fewer contracts | 10,000 plus contracts | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Organize | about $450 a month ($5,400 a year) | about $1,630 a month | Repository, OCR search, AI metadata extraction, custom fields, unlimited date reminders, dashboards |
| Finalize | about $660 a month ($7,920 a year) | about $2,125 a month | Organize plus approval sequences, redlining, e-signature through DocuSign, Word integration, SSO, Zapier |
| Maximize | about $815 a month ($9,780 a year) | about $2,425 a month | Finalize plus Salesforce integration, API access, intake forms, templates, AI contract review, lifecycle tracking |
Every ContractSafe plan includes unlimited users, onboarding and training, data and document migration, and a dedicated customer success manager, and ContractSafe says there is no implementation charge. An optional Jump Start service, where their team extracts data from your contracts for you, starts at $2.50 per contract.
ContractWorks pricing
ContractWorks does not publish a price list, and its old pricing page now returns an error. Review sites and buyer guides from 2026 put it at roughly $600 to $700 a month for the standard tier, billed yearly, with premium tiers by quote. Like ContractSafe, it includes unlimited users and free implementation, and the price moves with storage volume and the number of e-signature licenses rather than headcount. ContractWorks is part of Onit, which also sells enterprise legal software, so larger buyers may be steered toward a bundled quote.
| ContractSafe | ContractWorks | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | about $450 a month (Organize, 100 or fewer contracts) | about $600 to $700 a month (third-party reports) |
| Pricing basis | Active contract volume, seven bands | Storage volume and e-signature licenses |
| Users | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Price shown on vendor site | After choosing a volume band | No |
| Implementation fee | None | None reported |
| E-signature | Finalize and Maximize, through DocuSign | Included, license count affects price |
| Best for | Teams that want a searchable archive with white-glove migration | Teams that want secure storage, alerts and e-signature from one vendor |
What ContractSafe or ContractWorks will really cost you in a year
Monthly figures hide the commitment. At the entry level, ContractSafe Organize is about $5,400 a year and ContractWorks roughly $7,200 to $8,400, prepaid. Three things push the number up.
- Contract growth. ContractSafe counts active contracts. A company that starts at 90 contracts and adds 20 a month crosses into the next band within the first year, and the renewal quote reflects it.
- The features you actually need. Most buyers comparing these tools want reminders plus e-signature and approvals. On ContractSafe that is Finalize, not Organize, so the realistic entry price is closer to $7,920 a year.
- Annual prepayment. A yearly prepaid contract is a single purchase decision. If the tool does not stick, the money is spent anyway.
None of this makes either product a bad choice. Unlimited users is valuable when 40 people across sales, HR and operations need to look up contracts, and a vendor that migrates your archive for you saves real staff time.
A cheaper alternative with published pricing
For a company with a few hundred contracts and a handful of people who manage them, per-seat published plans usually cost less. Here is the same need priced on AgreementSoftware, whose prices are all on the contract management pricing page.
| Your situation | ContractSafe (entry band) | AgreementSoftware |
|---|---|---|
| 3 users, under 500 contracts, reminders only | about $5,400 a year (Organize) | $288 a year (Starter, billed yearly) or $49 a month |
| 10 users, under 2,500 contracts, reminders, approvals and e-signature | about $7,920 a year (Finalize) at 100 contracts, more at higher bands | $888 a year (Plus, billed yearly) or $149 a month |
| 40 users, unlimited contracts, Salesforce, API and forecast export | about $9,780 a year (Maximize) at 100 contracts, more at higher bands | $2,988 a year (Pro, billed yearly) or $499 a month |
| Unlimited users across the whole company | Included on every plan | Not included, extra seats are $15 each, or Enterprise by quote |
The last row is where ContractSafe and ContractWorks win, and it is worth taking seriously. If more than about 60 people need regular access, unlimited-user pricing can end up cheaper.
AgreementSoftware is built for the company that has outgrown the contract spreadsheet but has no legal operations team. You upload signed PDFs and DOCX files, AI extraction reads the parties, term, renewal clause and notice period with the source sentence shown next to each value, and the owner gets reminders 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before the notice deadline. The contract repository software page explains the storage and search side, and the demo at the top of this page runs on a real contract in about a minute.
How to decide between ContractSafe, ContractWorks and a published-price tool
Take five of your own signed agreements, including one auto-renewing vendor contract with a notice clause, and run the same test in each tool during the trial or demo.
- Check that the tool computed the notice deadline, not only the end date. That is the date that saves money.
- Look for the source sentence behind each extracted date so you can verify it.
- Price the plan you actually need in year two, after contract growth, not the entry band.
- Ask how you export every document and every field if you leave.
Choose ContractSafe if you want a vendor to migrate your archive and you need company-wide access. Choose ContractWorks if secure storage with bundled e-signature matters most and you are already talking to Onit. Choose a published-price tool if a small team owns contracts and the problem is renewals slipping past. If many of your agreements are real estate leases, pair any of these with a commercial lease abstraction service, since leases carry options and rent escalations that deserve a specialist's read. For more options, see our Ironclad alternatives for small business comparison, and if your stack is mostly software subscriptions, the SaaS contract management software page covers order forms, uplifts and seat commitments.
