Agreementsoftware

Electronic signature software that files the signed contract for you

Electronic signature software solves one moment in a contract's life: getting it signed. Agreementsoftware includes that moment and handles what comes after it. The signed PDF and its audit certificate file themselves into your contract repository, AI reads the term and notice period, and the owner gets an alert before the renewal deadline. Signing is one step, and the contract keeps working after it.

Sending

How sending for signature works

  • Open the contract record, drafted from a template or uploaded, and choose Send for signature.
  • Add the signers and set the signing order, so your side signs last or the counterparty signs first, as you prefer.
  • Reminders go out to signers who have not signed yet, so nobody has to chase them by email.
  • When the last signature is in, the signed PDF and an audit certificate go back into the same record automatically.

On Pro, bulk send delivers one agreement, such as an updated policy or a standard NDA, to many signers at once.

After signing

Signing is one step. Filing is the next.

In most electronic signature platforms the signed copy waits in the sender's inbox. Someone has to download it, rename it, put it in the right folder and copy the renewal date into a calendar, and that step is the one that gets skipped. In Agreementsoftware there is no such step.

  • The signed PDF lands in the contract's folder, linked to the counterparty and the owner.
  • The audit certificate is stored with it, alongside the approval trail from before signing.
  • AI extraction reads parties, effective date, term, auto-renewal, notice period and payment terms from the signed copy.
  • The notice deadline is computed and the owner is emailed at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before it passes.

The storage side is described on contract repository software, and the alerts on contract renewal management software.

We already have DocuSign. Why switch?

DocuSign is a strong signing tool, and signing is not usually where contracts go wrong. They go wrong later: the signed copy sits in an inbox, nobody records the notice period, and the contract renews before anyone remembers it. That gap is a repository and alert problem, not a signature problem.

  • Keep DocuSign for signing, and upload your signed PDFs into Agreementsoftware. AI extraction and renewal alerts work on any signed contract you upload.
  • Or sign inside Agreementsoftware and remove the download and re-upload step altogether, with envelopes included in every plan.
  • Either way, the renewal dates, obligations and owners live in one contract management system.

If you are comparing full suites, DocuSign also sells DocuSign CLM as an enterprise product on custom quotes. Our best contract management software guide compares it fairly with Ironclad, Juro, PandaDoc and ContractWorks.

E-signature envelopes on every plan

  • Starter, $49 per month: 25 e-signature envelopes per month, with templates and renewal alerts for every contract.
  • Plus, $149 per month, the most popular: 150 envelopes per month, approval workflows before sending and Slack and email notifications.
  • Pro, $499 per month: 750 envelopes per month, bulk send and integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot, so sales agreements go out from where deals are tracked.
  • Enterprise: envelope volume, SSO (SAML) and an uptime SLA agreed with sales.

Sales teams sending order forms should read sales agreements. The full lifecycle view is on contract lifecycle management software, and full plan details are on pricing.

Is e-signature included, or is it an add-on?

It is included in every plan: 25 envelopes per month on Starter, 150 on Plus and 750 on Pro. There is no separate e-signature subscription to buy.

Can we control who signs first?

Yes. You set the signing order on each envelope, and reminders go to anyone who has not signed yet. The signed PDF files itself only when the last signature is in.

What if we keep DocuSign?

That works. Upload the signed PDFs, and AI extraction, the repository and renewal alerts work on them exactly as on contracts signed inside Agreementsoftware.

Are electronic signatures valid for every document?

The ESIGN Act and UETA cover most business contracts, but some document types are excluded, such as wills and certain court and family law documents. This is not legal advice, so check unusual cases with your counsel.
