CobbleStone pricing and CobbleStone software cost from the public price list

CobbleStone pricing is not shown on the vendor's website, but one official price list is public. Under its Texas DIR cooperative contract (DIR-CPO-5672), CobbleStone sells its hosted contract management software for a $5,293.86 core license plus $1,935 a year per bundle of 5 named users, so the smallest SaaS setup costs about $7,229 a year before a one-time setup fee of 10% of license fees. E-signature, AI and integrations are separate modules. A 10 user deployment with e-signature and AI comes to roughly $22,700 in the first year. If you mainly need a contract repository with renewal alerts, AgreementSoftware publishes its plans at $288 to $2,988 a year.

CobbleStone price list for the hosted SaaS edition

These are the prices CobbleStone filed in Appendix C of its Texas DIR contract, downloaded from the vendor's own website in October 2026. They are the DIR customer prices, already discounted 1% to 13% off list. Texas public entities can buy at these prices, and they are the best public guide for everyone else, whose quote usually starts from list.

Line item (SaaS) Unit DIR customer price Discount off list
Contract management core license (hosted) Per deployment, yearly $5,293.86 13.18%
Contract management named users 5 users, yearly $1,935.00 9.41%
IntelliSign and document collaboration module 5 users, yearly $3,183.85 9.50%
Solicitation and sourcing module 5 users, yearly $3,725.65 9.49%
Vendor collaboration module 5 users, yearly $4,721.19 9.50%
Purchase order and spend module 5 users, yearly $2,655.17 9.50%
VISDOM+ Starter AI (up to 500K words a month) Yearly $3,984.71 1%
VISDOM+ Pro AI (up to 1M words a month) Yearly $6,976.99 1%
VISDOM+ Elite AI (up to 5M words a month) Yearly $29,917.76 1%
One-time license and environment setup One time 10% of user and module license fees 1%
Test and development environment Yearly 50% of licensing 1%

Working back from the discount column, the list price of the core license is about $6,098 and a 5 user bundle about $2,136. The DIR contract also gives a volume discount on named users, from 1% at 5 to 9 users up to 6% at 1,000 or more.

What CobbleStone costs per user

A 5 user bundle at $1,935 works out to $387 per user per year, or about $32 per user per month, for the contract management module alone. Spread the core license across a small team and the effective price rises fast: with 5 users the core adds another $88 per user per month. That is in line with the $59 per user per month starting price listed on Capterra, as reported by Signeasy in July 2026.

CobbleStone editions and what each includes

CobbleStone sells its Contract Insight product in three editions. According to the edition comparison summarized by Signeasy in 2026:

  • Express is SaaS only and covers document storage, email alerts, financial tracking, full-text search and user permissions.
  • WorkGroup is installed on your own servers and adds contract drafting, check-in tracking, deeper search and reporting.
  • Enterprise runs as SaaS or on your servers and adds VISDOM AI, workflow automation, IntelliSign e-signature, configurable dashboards and analytics.

The DIR price list confirms the shape of that offer: e-signature, AI, sourcing and vendor portals are each a separate line, so the edition you see in a demo is often several modules on the order form.

What CobbleStone really costs in the first year

The examples below use the DIR prices above, SaaS deployment, and assume every user needs each module that is listed. Setup is taken as 10% of all license fees. Private sector quotes start from list price, so expect your numbers to be somewhat higher.

Scenario What is included First-year cost
Smallest setup, 5 users Core license, 5 named users, setup fee About $7,950
Mid-size team, 10 users Core, 10 users, IntelliSign for 10 users, VISDOM+ Starter, setup, 10 hours of remote training at $123.42 About $22,700
Larger team, 25 users Core, 25 users, IntelliSign for 25 users, VISDOM+ Pro, setup, SSO setup at $1,845.24 About $43,500

Services are billed on top. The same price list shows remote configuration at $134.65 an hour, remote project management at $149.61 an hour, and onsite training, requirements gathering or workflow configuration at about $2,300 to $2,400 a day. A typical rollout includes several of those. For installed server deployments, annual support and maintenance adds 20% of license fees every year.

When CobbleStone is worth the price

CobbleStone is a mature product with a long record in the public sector, and there are buyers for whom its price is reasonable.

  • Government agencies, universities and public hospitals that want to buy through a cooperative contract, such as Texas DIR, instead of running their own bid.
  • Organizations that need the software on their own servers, which few modern contract tools offer.
  • Teams that also run solicitations and sourcing events, a vendor portal, a public contract search page for citizens, or purchase orders in the same system.
  • Buyers who need vendor screening through Dun and Bradstreet or OFAC connectors, which CobbleStone sells as add-ons.

If those are on your list, compare CobbleStone with other enterprise suites. If you only run sourcing events and not contracts, a dedicated procurement platform may fit better than any contract tool.

A cheaper CobbleStone alternative with published pricing

Many teams that ask for a CobbleStone quote need far less than a public procurement suite. They need every signed contract in one place, the renewal and notice dates read for them, a reminder before each deadline, and a clean way to send a new agreement for signature. That is what AgreementSoftware does, with prices on the pricing page.

Plan Price billed yearly Monthly price What you get
Starter $288 a year $49 a month 3 seats, 500 contracts, AI extraction, renewal and notice alerts, e-signature, CSV export
Plus $888 a year $149 a month 10 seats, 2,500 contracts, obligation tracking, approval rules, folder permissions, audit log
Pro $2,988 a year $499 a month 40 seats, unlimited contracts, multi-step approvals, reports, API and webhooks
Enterprise $5,988 a year $998 a month 100 seats, SSO and SCIM, custom retention, SLA

AI extraction and e-signature are included in every plan, and there is no setup fee. A 10 person team on Plus pays $888 a year, less than half the price of a single CobbleStone 5 user bundle, before the core license. The repository side is described on our contract repository software page, and the deadline side on our contract renewal management software page. Public sector teams can also read how this works for government contractors, school districts and cities and counties.

Questions to ask before you sign a CobbleStone order form

  • Which edition and which modules are on the quote, and which features you saw in the demo are in a module that is not?
  • Is the price per 5 user bundle, and what happens when you add the sixth user?
  • How many VISDOM+ words a month will your contract volume need, and what happens above the limit?
  • How much is the one-time setup fee, and which configuration, data import and training hours are included?
  • Is the term one year or several, how far in advance must you give notice to cancel, and is there a cap on renewal increases?
  • If you buy through a cooperative contract, which one, and does its price list apply to your organization?

How much does CobbleStone cost?

CobbleStone costs about $7,229 a year for the smallest hosted setup on its public Texas DIR price list: a $5,293.86 core license plus $1,935 for 5 named users, before a setup fee of 10% of license fees. E-signature, AI and integrations are extra modules, so a 10 user team with both typically pays around $20,000 or more in the first year.

Does CobbleStone publish its pricing?

CobbleStone does not publish prices on its pricing pages and asks buyers to request a quote. Its Texas DIR cooperative contract, DIR-CPO-5672, includes a public pricing appendix with every module and service rate, which is the most reliable public reference for what CobbleStone charges.

Is CobbleStone priced per user?

Yes, partly. CobbleStone charges a yearly core license per deployment and then sells named user licenses in bundles of 5, at $1,935 a year per bundle on the DIR price list. Modules such as IntelliSign, sourcing and vendor collaboration are also priced per bundle of 5 users.

What is the CobbleStone VISDOM AI price?

On the Texas DIR price list, VISDOM+ is a yearly license sold in three sizes: Starter at $3,984.71 for up to 500,000 words a month, Pro at $6,976.99 for up to 1 million words, and Elite at $29,917.76 for up to 5 million words. It requires the contract management license.

What is a cheaper alternative to CobbleStone?

For teams that need a contract repository, AI extraction, renewal reminders and e-signature without a sourcing or procurement suite, AgreementSoftware costs $288 to $2,988 a year with published prices, AI and e-signature included, and no setup fee. Teams that need on-premise deployment or public procurement modules should stay with an enterprise suite.
