SaaS contract management software to track SaaS renewals, notice dates and price increases

AgreementSoftware is SaaS contract management software for the finance, IT and operations people who own a company's software stack. Upload each SaaS order form, MSA or renewal quote, and the AI reads the term, the auto-renewal clause, the notice period, the seat count and any price uplift, then emails the owner 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before the last day you can cancel or renegotiate. Plans start at $49 a month, with every price published.

Risk notes

  • Auto-renews with a notice period over 60 days.
  • Liability is not capped for one or both parties.
  • The other party can raise prices at renewal without a limit.
  • Termination for convenience is missing or one-sided.
  • No clauses flagged for this focus.

The SaaS contract terms that cost money when nobody watches them

A SaaS subscription rarely goes wrong on the day it ends. It goes wrong months earlier, on a date written into the order form that no one copied anywhere. These are the fields AgreementSoftware extracts from each SaaS agreement and puts on the contract record.

SaaS contract term Where it usually sits What happens when it is missed Plan
Notice deadline Order form or MSA term section, often 30 to 90 days before renewal The subscription renews for another 12 or 36 months at list price Every plan
Auto-renewal clause MSA "Term and Termination" section You lose the leverage of a real renewal decision Every plan
Subscription term and end date Order form header Budget planning uses the wrong renewal month Every plan
Annual price uplift Order form pricing notes or MSA fees section A 5 to 10 percent increase applies without a conversation Plus and above
Committed seats or usage minimum Order form line items You keep paying for seats nobody uses, or pay a true-up Plus and above
Auto-renewal at list price Renewal clause or "pricing at renewal" language Your first-year discount quietly disappears Plus and above
Data export and deletion window MSA termination section You cannot get your data out after you cancel Plus and above
Contract value and owner Order form totals, your internal owner field Finance cannot forecast renewals by department Pro

Every extracted value shows the sentence it came from, so the person reviewing it can confirm the number in seconds instead of rereading a 30 page MSA.

From a folder of SaaS order forms to a renewal calendar

  • Drag in your SaaS order forms, MSAs, renewal quotes and amendments as PDF or DOCX files. A typical company with 50 to 150 SaaS vendors uploads the whole folder at once.
  • AI extraction reads the vendor, the term, the renewal clause, the notice period, the price and any uplift, and shows the source sentence beside each value.
  • You review and correct the fields. Reminders always follow your corrected value.
  • Each contract gets an owner. The owner receives reminders 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before the notice deadline, and the dashboard shows every SaaS renewal due in the next quarter.

Most teams have their SaaS renewal calendar built the same day they upload. Try it on one of your own order forms in the demo on this page first.

One SaaS order form, one notice deadline

Here is how the arithmetic works on a common SaaS agreement. The numbers are an illustration, not a real customer contract.

  • Product: a sales engagement platform, 40 seats at $95 per seat per month, $45,600 a year.
  • Term: 12 months from February 1, 2026, ending January 31, 2027.
  • Renewal: automatic 12 month renewals, with a 7 percent uplift on renewal.
  • Notice: written notice at least 60 days before the end of the term.

Sixty days back from January 31, 2027 is December 2, 2026. That is the notice deadline, and it lands in the middle of year-end close, which is why it gets missed. AgreementSoftware reminds the owner on September 3, October 3, November 2 and November 25, 2026. If only 28 of the 40 seats are active, the September reminder leaves three months to cut 12 seats and push back on the uplift. Miss it and the renewal comes in at $48,792 for 40 seats, about $16,900 more than 28 seats at today's price ($31,920).

SaaS contract management software vs a SaaS management platform

Tools like Zylo, CloudEagle and Vendr discover every app employees use, pull spend from cards and accounting systems, and often negotiate on your behalf. They are built for large IT and procurement teams, and they usually sell by custom quote. AgreementSoftware does something narrower: it reads the contracts themselves and makes sure nobody misses a date or a clause in them.

Spreadsheet of SaaS renewals SaaS management platform AgreementSoftware
Finds shadow IT and unused apps No Yes, from SSO, card and expense data No, it works from the contracts you upload
Reads notice periods and uplifts from the contract No, someone types them Varies, often a manual field Yes, AI extraction with the source sentence
Renewal reminders to the owner Only if someone sorts the sheet Yes Yes, 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before the notice deadline
Stores the signed contract with the record Usually a link Varies Yes, plus e-signature for new order forms
Also handles non-SaaS contracts (NDAs, leases, services) Separate sheet Usually not Yes, same repository
Published price Staff time Custom quote at most vendors From $49 a month

If you have 300 apps and nobody knows what half of them cost, a SaaS management platform is the right purchase. If you know your vendors and the problem is renewals slipping past, a contract tool costs a fraction and also covers every other agreement the company signs. For the cloud side of the bill, a cloud and SaaS cost management tool watches usage and spend while the contracts live here.

Teams that use SaaS contract management software

  • Finance and FP&A leads at US companies with 50 to 500 employees, who need every SaaS renewal date and uplift in the budget before it hits the P&L. The renewal forecast export on Pro gives them the list by month and department.
  • IT managers who own the software stack and get the "why did this renew?" email. Our contract renewal management software page covers the notice deadline arithmetic in depth.
  • Operations and procurement leads who handle every vendor, not only software. See contract tracking software for vendor contracts.
  • B2B SaaS companies on the sell side that need their own customer order forms, MSAs and renewal dates in one place. The agreement tracking software for sales agreements page shows that workflow.

If all you need is an alert on every contract date, the lighter contract reminder software page explains the reminder schedule.

Pricing for SaaS contract management

Starter costs $49 per month, or $288 a year billed yearly, and includes 3 seats, up to 500 stored contracts, AI extraction for 50 documents per month and renewal alerts on every contract, which covers most SaaS stacks. Plus at $149 per month ($888 a year billed yearly) adds obligation tracking with custom reminders for uplifts, seat minimums and data export windows, approval workflows for new SaaS purchases, Slack notifications and an iCal feed. Pro at $499 per month adds custom extraction fields, contract value reporting by department and a renewal forecast export for finance. See every plan on the contract management system cost page.

What is SaaS contract management?

SaaS contract management is the work of storing every software subscription agreement, knowing its term, renewal and notice dates, price and seat commitments, and acting before each deadline. In practice it means one record per SaaS vendor with the signed order form attached and a reminder set well before the last day to cancel or renegotiate.

How do you manage SaaS contracts?

Collect every order form and MSA in one repository, extract the term, notice period, price and uplift from each, assign an owner, and set reminders on the notice deadline rather than the end date. AgreementSoftware does the extraction and reminders automatically, so the owner gets 90 days to review usage and negotiate.

How do I avoid SaaS auto-renewals?

Find the notice period in the contract, usually 30 to 90 days, and send written notice before that deadline. The reliable way is a reminder tied to the notice deadline, not the renewal date, with an owner who checks usage first. Most unwanted SaaS renewals happen because the notice date was never written down.

What should a SaaS contract include?

A SaaS contract should state the subscription term, renewal terms and notice period, fees and any annual uplift, seat or usage commitments, the service level and credits, data ownership, data export and deletion on termination, security obligations, and liability limits. Our AI extraction pulls most of these into fields so you can compare vendors side by side.

How much does SaaS contract management software cost?

Prices vary widely. SaaS management platforms and enterprise CLM tools usually sell by custom quote, often in the tens of thousands of dollars a year. AgreementSoftware publishes its prices: $49 a month for Starter, $149 for Plus and $499 for Pro, with yearly billing at about half.

Can I track SaaS contracts we already signed?

Yes. Most teams start with the contracts they already have. Upload the existing order forms and MSAs in bulk, review the extracted dates and prices, and reminders are scheduled for every subscription with a future notice deadline.
